The Essential Guide to Good Brows

Welcome to my Essential Guide to Good Brows.

This is all about the constant love affair we have with them little hairs above our eyes that you guard with your life – OUR EYEBROWS! Yes…brows really have become our life…

I remember back to when I first trained in Beauty nearly 12 years ago, and brow maintenance was nothing more than a 1 shade tint, a basic wax & tweezer shape…wow – how things have changed!

Now 50% of my business alone is for our love for our eyebrows…i myself, over the years have been through the the many different stages of over plucked to over grown and poorly shaped brows, so I know first hand the struggle it can be…especially the patience required if I set you on a re-growth HD brow programme!

So…ladies (& gents)… Here’s a few key points to getting the ultimate brows…

Essential Guide to Good Brows

‘A strong brow game’

Good brows need time, patience & a little love….

Basically, you need to start seeing your eyebrows differently and give your eyebrows the same care and attention that you show to your hair. Just like your hairstyle, the shape and style of your eyebrows needs to be maintained.

A good pair of brows can also change your entire face if done well, moving or changing the brow shape can make a huge difference to your face. Remember, Eyebrows are so individual and you really need to go with a shape that suits your unique features, as well as a colour that is similar to your natural tones.

FINISHING YOUR BROWS…

Powders – easy to use and are so versatile you can build up the colour pretty easily by adding more bit by bit. You can do this without looking shiny or like you’ve painted your brows on (massive no no!) – and you can always use brow powders as eye shadows too.

Brow pencils – good to give a crisper line, as well as being brilliant when it comes to defining and faking the appearance of hair strokes – just fill in the gaps. I like to use a firm, sharp and non-waxy pencil to draw feathery strokes into any sparse areas, as well as sharpen any edges of the brow.

Coloured brow gels – wrap each hair with colour and make brows look fuller and more groomed. My ultimate love is for the High Definition Brow Beater and Colour Fix to help keep a beautiful brushed up brow look & top up your brow colour between your HD appointments at home.

Doing less is MORE when it come to keeping things even…

When it comes to making sure your brows are symmetrical, there really isn’t any better brow treatment out there than High Definition Brows, it’s made up of a combination of waxing, threading, tinting & plucking to create a brow that’s totally bespoke to you. Majority of my clients are put on a regrowth programme to get you to that ultimate goal!

If you’re going to do your own brows at home, try not to over-pluck!

Make sure you also keep your brows as close to your natural shape as possible, If you’re struggling, you could try to fill in any gaps with a brow pencil and draw the shape of the brow first before tweezing the hairs around that shape to create yourself a little guide as is very easy to get tweeter happy at home, and believe it or not, but every single little hair counts.

Above picture shows an example of one of my clients on her second HD appointment – just the very beginning of her exciting re-growth programme.

I would recommend a month to 6 weeks maximum between your professional brow appointments, so you are not tempted to pluck them yourself in between.

BOOK AN APPOINTMENT with me today to get your brows done professionally, and let’s get them looking fabulous! 🙂
